The next morning, Noah goes to get coffee at Jeanie’s shop, The Pumpkin Spice Café, where he is confronted by the probing questions of Jeanie and the other members of the nosey book club, who want to know what he was doing last night. Noah can tell the rumors about him and Hazel are already spreading, but this does not deter him from ordering Hazel’s usual tea to bring to her, contributing to the rumors. He runs into Logan as he is leaving. Though Logan is Noah’s closest friend in Dream Harbor, he has also been Hazel’s best friend for years, and he warns Noah against hurting her. When Annie comes into the bookstore and confronts Hazel about the same thing, Hazel hesitates to tell her about the clues and just mentions that she is capable of having casual fun with Noah. When Hazel mentions that she and Noah kissed, Annie warns her about getting feelings for Noah, as he doesn’t take relationships seriously. Noah comes in as Annie is leaving, and when Hazel starts to mention their kiss last night, Noah reassures her that he is willing to do anything to help Hazel have fun and that they can see where their relationship goes from there.
